Golf was considered a sport for the rich. This assumption is not wrong, considering the cost of courses, equipment, membership, and expensive uniforms. Reporting from the Koin Works page, getting into a golf club costs 5-25 million or even more.
Not surprisingly, only the rich can play golf, such as businessmen, officials, and celebrities. Including, the following five Hollywood artists who are very good at playing golf!
1. Snoop Dogg
Snoop Dogg, the rapper and hip-hop icon, loves to play golf. He told the Men’s Journal page that he took private lessons with PGA Pro Seema Sadekar.
“I’ve played golf my whole life. My friends, family and the whole crew (too) love it. I’ve always respected this game. It’s great to be able to go out on the course and have a break, laugh, make a friendly competition, then close with a cocktail on the hole 19th,” he said at length.
2. Celine Dion
Celine Dion is a golfer and owns her own golf course, namely Le Mirage in Terrebonne, Canada. She got it in 1997 with René Angelil, her late husband.
This golf club has two courses with 18 holes. Unfortunately, Celine Dion has sold it to real estate group Messier, Savard & Associés (MSA), reports The Journal of Montreal.
3. Justin Timberlake
When he was 30 years old, Justin Timberlake once said that he would become a professional golfer. His father was the one who introduced him to golf and often took him to play in Big Creek near Memphis, Tennessee.
Justin Timberlake and his parents didn’t stand still when the golf course was nearly converted into a home. They immediately stepped in and bought it!
4. Adam Levine
Who doesn’t know Adam Levine? He is the vocalist and guitarist of Maroon 5. In between his busy life with music, he makes time to pursue his hobby, which is playing golf.
Make no mistake, Adam Levine is a diehard golf fan. In fact, he paid US $ 18 million (Rp 254 billion) for a house on a golf course! His home is at the Los Angeles Country Club, close to the 14th golf course, the Golf Digest page explains.
5. Kenny G
Without realizing it, Kenny G is an extraordinary golfer. Looking back, he once played for his high school golf team. In fact, Kenny G took home the very prestigious 2001 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am title.
“With the saxophone, I learn technique well enough that it feels like a part of my body and I just express myself. That’s where I want to play golf,” he reveals on the Golf Digest page.
